Kia ora! I completed my Bachelor of Science (Honours) in 2023 at the University of Auckland. My research utilised the NZAVS to explore how societal disconnection appears in Aotearoa and who is most affected by it.
I am now in the clinical psychology programme at Massey University, where my research focuses on making CBT assertiveness training culturally responsive and affirming for Rainbow and Takatāpui youth. This research aims to reduce the mental health disparities we see in our minoritised communities in Aotearoa. I am passionate about creating safe, mana-enhancing, and effective therapeutic spaces for our youth!
What brings me joy?
“Spending time with whānau, enjoying te taiao, and if there's a cup of tea involved that's a bonus!.”
